An Honest Review: Chicken Crossing is a food truck in Eugene, Oregon, that specializes in chicken for everyone; vegans included. This place caters to carnivores, omnivores, and herbivores. On our way down to the Oregon Coast, we had to stop and try this little place out! It is rare to find a restaurant that offers both vegan and non-vegan food, that can do it well, so this was a bit of an adventure just as much as it was a lunch stop.
Upon arriving to the food truck, we were kindly greeted by the owner and chef, and he took our order for The OG Plant-Based Sandwich, and the Bangcock Hot Plant-Based Sandwich. We also ordered a fresh lemonade for both of us to share (the boyfriend and I). Honestly, both sandwiches really impressed us. I loved the seasoning on the vegan chick'n stips, and the sauces on the sandwiches were very tasty. The slaw on each sandwich was fresh, crunchy, and very flavorful. I felt the flavors and textures in the sandwiches were well-balanced. The lemonade was perfectly sweet, sour, and cool. We left feeling very satisfied that we gave Chicken Crossing a shot, as they truly know how to perfect a delicious vegan chick'n sandwich. Next time we are in Eugene, Oregon, this will be a must-stop destination! The other vegan items on this menu look truly mouth-watering, and are calling me back to Oregon.
