An Honest Review: Planta Queen is truly reigning Chicago in the ways of vegan culinary excellence. The three words that come to my mind to define Planta Queen are elegance, richness, and innovation. Beyond beautiful on the inside and brimming with culinary genius, Planta Queen is designed with super-consciousness to absolutely floor you in every sense. Never had I experienced real shaved truffles on any kind of food in my life. Here, we had it on both of our entrees. Surprisingly, Planta Queen has a great lunch special, with a cookie included. If you are in Chicago, are vegan/vegan-curious, and are looking for an elevated experience, this is the place to go. You have to go at least once in life- it's just too delectable to miss! Planta Queen made me feel like the vegan queen that I am, and the staff treated me with such incredible and heartfelt kindness. Planta Queen is truly a special place- I am so excited to come back and explore this unparalleled menu very soon.

To start, we ordered a Let That Mango juice, some Crispy Gyoza, and a Bao Slider. The juice was sweet and tangy, yet not too sweet. It was refreshing and energizing, and made my stomach feel warm and happy. Both appetizers were so yummy- I loved the Bao Slider, and the Crispy Gyoza were sinfully good. I was left craving more of each once they were gone. But, honestly, the Truffle Fried Rice and Udon Noodles stole the show- wow... holy vegan cow. Topped with real shaved truffles and cooked to perfection, both dishes left an eternal imprint in my brain. As I was eating the Udon Noodles, slurping with joy, an exiting patron said to me while passing, "those noodles bring me to my knees". She was absolutely right- those noodles were sent from the highest dimensions in the vegan universe. The Truffle Fried Rice was equally tasty, and excellent in its own right. It was like the best Thai fried rice I had ever had, yet much fancier, and infused with a much deeper and richer flavor. To end the meal, the Matcha Chocolate Chip Cookie was absolutely perfect; it was warm and gooey, yet crispy, chewy, and divinely sweet.
